![]() ![]() I've also heard great things about the ender 3 (sub $250 I think) and CR-10 (sub $400).įor design, I'd highly recommend Fusion360, it's an autodesk product that is free for personal use. I think the makerbots are really awesome but a lot more $$, probably less finicky than Prusa though. If you want something prebuilt you can still get a Prusa, but the first time you jam it (it'll happen eventually) you're going to be clueless how to fix it if you didn't build it. I'd highly recommend the Prusa printers as a kit:, they will run about $600-1000 depending on what you pick. Helped me to learn the mechanics which really helps troubleshooting down the road.
